Course Progressions

Upon request, a PSP staff person will sit with you to outline a typical progression through the classes you need to take for your program area. Courses are scheduled by term as far in advance as possible, given the constraint that most of our faculty are also working professionals. We seek to develop specific class dates at least two terms ahead, so that students may plan their vacations and work-related trips. As a School that caters to mature learners, we allow students to take as many units per term as they wish, though we recommend no more than nine units at any given time. Unofficial transcripts may be requested at any time for course progression review.

For students who are moving through a particular degree program, there is a way to self-monitor progress. Arrange with the Registrar for a transcript to be sent to you, and print one of the following Clearance Checklists. These are used by the Registrar when a student applies for clearance to graduate, but can be used by any student who is in interested in tracking their course progression against an official form.

Beginning in Fall 2005, class offerings by term can be noted by referencing the Scope and Sequence of On-Site Courses.

Note that these Clearance Checklists relate to students who have matriculated from 2003 to the present.
