Program description
Organizational coaching demands integration of coaching knowledge applied to organizational contexts. Complexities integral to these organizational contexts pose important challenges for those who wish to be competent and engaged in organization-based coaching practices. This advanced coach certification program is intended for consultants and coach practitioners who wish to deepen their knowledge and skills in executive- and organization-based coaching.
This training is offered in a two-session format, both involving theory and practice, with each session lasting 3 ½ days. We will focus on the core areas of organization-based practice: performance coaching, executive coaching and applied business coaching strategies. We will provide participants with:
- The strategies and tools of performance and executive coaching, three-tiered assessments (self, other, culture), and the blending of normative and descriptive assessments (instrumented coaching), amplified by the use of on-site, real-time coaching processes (observational coaching).
- The strategies and tools of business coaching, with an emphasis on tools for multi-tiered assessment of performance (performance assessment coaching), multi-dimensional strategic planning (strategic planning coaching) and multi-option cost-benefit analyses (cost-benefit coaching).
Who Should Apply
This training program is intended for internal and external consultants, organizational leaders, team leaders, and those interested in entering the organizational coaching field. An undergraduate degree is a pre-requisite.
The program aims for both the immediate and ongoing development and refinement of organizational coaching skills and knowledge, while also introducing participants to emerging tools, concepts, and roles in the field. Ideally, members of this learning community will participate in co-creating a wider network that supports the wide diversity of executive and organization coaches and consultants and their contextual challenges.
